The brief
The Design & Build of two, 2 storey Retail Outlets together with an independent walkway, serving five kiosk market outlets. All works to be carried out within a restricted occupied market square with minimum disruption to the trading of existing store and shop owners. Safety to the public was of paramount importance.
The solution
To provide a brick faced steel-frame structure to facilitate rapid construction time within the confines of a restricted build area. Continual liaison with the existing traders ensured that disruption was kept to a minimum. To support this out of hours working was considered where necessary using a flexible approach at all times.
The result
A project completed within budget and time constraints with excellent relations maintained at all times with existing traders. The works satisfied the client’s entire specified requirements in terms of facilities provided and quality of finish. Public safety was not compromised throughout the project period.
